Shine Like the Moon

This will be a quick one,
The moon is really really cool because its so beautiful and when we were kids we thought it was made of cheese.
But what makes the moon so special?
[drum roll please] its the fact that it illuminates the light of the sun.
the sun gives the moon life.
So in the same way we should reflect God, the light of our lives. We are told God is love, so in the same way we should love. And now im not saying that is super easy, because this week I have anything but like God, I did and said some pretty bonehead things just ask Caroline or Jacob, but its ok because just as we are supposed to love like God, we are also supposed to forgive like him, even when it comes to ourselves.
So may we come to see that just like the moon shines to give us light during the night, we should shine reflecting Gods love and forgiveness on others as well as ourselves.

well said. I hate it when I lose focus, but It always helps if I am striving to reflect the light and love of my Savior.

I love this analogy.
“We are not made for mirrors are we? No. A thousand times no. We are made for mountains. We are made for majestic meditation. We are made to behold beauty, and NOT to be the source of it. Reflectors merely. Moon in orbit, mountain lake, little plastic piece on the side of a bicycle tire. We shine and sparkle, but all the while speak of something greater. Someone greater. We reflect His glory.”

I just though that really went along with this.
Great blog, Aundre.
