    Today, Tomorrow, Yesterday

Before reading this look up the word nonsensical.

On the news this week Northern Florida was decimated by, a series of tornadoes that hit in the middle of the night. Homes were destroyed, people were killed and life was turned upside down.
So is this where our hearts are today?
    In the last year,

    Hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans.

A tsunami claimed millions of lives in Asia.

Weren’t our hearts just their yesterday?

Each year there is some big bang, some natural disaster some kind of destruction that captures the world’s eye as unjust and we all ban together and make it right.

There is something about the loss or the hurting the people are feeling that allows us to latch on to them and connect our hearts with theirs.

But what of revenge? Addiction? Lust?

We have all struggled with them, we’ve all been at our lows, broken and sorry but each day people act as if they never have, we watch documentaries about killers and wonder how they became so rash and insane.

What is dangerous is as humans, we are potential the natural disasters, we hold the power to either sustain or completely obliterate our world with our actions.

I decided on the analogy of the tornadoes hitting North Florida because I have friends there, namingly Katie, that I was really worried about.

I mean we are all so eager to go to the ends of the earth to improve our humanities, prove we have hearts by taking from our pockets. We numbingly give towards the love we all pray to be blessed with.

Don’t misunderstand me, I am not saying that it’s wrong to give to people in need in fact I encourage it. But when we sit back and think that simple things such as a dollar bill will wave and magically heal hearts of the broken is a misconception.

What worth is a broken heart?

Where will our hearts be tomorrow?

Just like the people in Northern Florida, Tornadoes can hit us at anytime, in the middle of the night, in the middle of the day, at anytime.

We can be decimated, our hearts can be a mess and we can be a walking humanitarian project.

Can love be a verb? Or just a noun we write on paper and see on 30 minute sitcoms?

Before you can love anyone, you have to love yourself.

Ponder on that for a while. All the love we throw out, or fake love whatever to help others, sure its useful but it doesn’t do jack squat to mend ourselves, your thirst for revenge still lays while you volunteer and you still want to kill yourself even though you are tutoring someone.

Love is a powerful thing, don’t deprive yourself on it.

What I’ve realized is it’s so awesome to help others but as you pour out of your glass full of love you lose love necessary for yourself and without that you’re just spinning in circles.

How we just jump on the band wagon for being better humans, and forget the change starts within ourselves. Yesterday without love we are the kids with the broken childhoods, today without love we are the teens who shut the world out and tomorrow without love we become the killers and the self loathers.

Let your Love Be Strong enough to weather through the thunderclouds amigos, or youll be the next humanitarian project.

Let the world fall apart … all of my life rests upon the love that created every breath I have been given.

Nonsensical, thats what it is. Love is Life. And irreplaceable.Souls arent built of stone just sticks and bones, so fortify them with love.
