Loser.

A winning loser. Sounds like an oxymoron to me ,like jumbo-shrimp. But when you think about our teacher, Jesus Christ was a winning loser. He gave up his earthly self just so we can all go on sinning but be accepted in the kingdom of heaven.

Can you fathom the magnitude of how awesome that is? Look around at the people sitting near you. Would you lose, all of your earthly things for them? Your reputation, styling clothes, LIFE? Just so that they could live. I can honestly say I wouldnt. But we need to be losers.

Why? Simple its all for gods glory. Once we empty ourselves of the temporary things of this world, the true light of god can shine through. There is a Switchfoot song thats called The Shadow Proves the Sunshine. And its no big theology to think that the sun makes that dark spot. But think of it this way. Gods grace, his light is the Sunshine. And our sin and ourselves actually, are the shadow. Our weakness and flaws proves Gods grace as he forgives us.

To fill the world’s emptiness by emptying ourselves. And making ourselves as receptive to be shining stars for Christ. So the next time someone calls you a loser say thanks. Its great to know that you can see Christ shining in me.

Only the losers win, theyve got nothing to prove. Think about that for a second. If we lose it all for Christ
